Wellbeing at Work - A simple place to start

Between meetings, instead of moving straight onto the next task, take a short reset:


  • Physically step away from your screen


  • Drop your shoulders and jaw


  • Take 3–5 slower breaths, with a slightly longer out-breath than in-breath


  • let your attention settle elsewhere briefly


You’re not trying to “relax.”


 You’re giving your nervous system a signal that it’s safe to reset.


Because without that signal,
your system stays in the same high-alert state — and the load keeps accumulating.


These resets don’t need to be long.


But when repeated consistently,
they interrupt the build-up of cognitive load
and help you access clearer thinking on the next decision.
